LIQUID FACELIFT
The liquid facelift achieves a similar effect to that of a more invasive facelift but without the use of a scalpel. By utilizing injections the procedure is considerably less invasive. Liquid fillers are injected into the desired region of the face to create the appearance of a lift. This leads to a tighter, more rejuvenated appearance. This procedure can produce almost immediate results for patients looking to address fine lines and volume loss, however, will not help individuals who want to get rid of sagging skin.
To complete a liquid facelift, a variety of different injections can be utilized to create the desired look for the patient. Juvederm Ultra is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is used to smooth wrinkles. Results last for up to a year. Juvederm Ultra Plus is used for deeper wrinkles while Juvederm Voluma can create more volume in the regions of the cheek.
These are longer lasting dermal fillers with results lasting up to 2 years. Radiesse is comprised of calcium hydroxyapatite and provides wrinkle-filling effects that are both immediate and long lasting. As the gel begins to dissolve, scaffolding is created for further collagen production. This filler is incorporated mostly for diminishing marionette/smile lines and for cheek augmentation. Sculptra is a collagen replacing dermal filler that is primarily used for candidates with deep wrinkles and severe fat loss in the face. While it does not create immediate results, it will stimulate collagen growth over time and typically requires an average of 3 treatments over the period of a few months for best results. Finally, Botox can be used alongside any of the above listed injectable fillers to enhance and extend results.
The goal of a liquid facelift is to rejuvenate the face for a more youthful appearance.
